First Aid For Your Exotic Pet Bird Or Parrot

Although you cannot dial 911, you should have your Avian Veterinarian’s phone number close at hand. When a bird is sick, he or she hides it well because in nature, the flock, out of fear of disease, might harm a bird that appears ill so as to protect the flock from all becoming sick.
Therefore, by the time you notice signs of illness in your parrot, the bird may have already been sick for some time. Be in touch with your bird’s personality and characteristics that are “normal”, so that you will recognize any signs of “abnormal” behavior.

The two most important commands your dog should know!
As I have stressed throughout my website and in other articles I have written “Safety” is the driving force behind these two commands. Yes it’s always a wonderful feeling to command your dog to come to you and they actually do and yes it’s also a good feeling to have them stay when commanded. If you think about this seriously you will see that there is a far more basic reasoning than obedience, its “Safety”.

How To Build A Chicken Coop - 6 Crucial Elements On Building A Chicken House
Filed Under Pets | Posted on March 18, 2008
When building a chicken coop, it is suggested that you follow the guidelines below for a successful endeavor.
Element #1. - Appearance and Design:
Sketch out your design on a sheet of paper before you do anything else. Think of the colors you will paint the roof and chicken coop walls. Always keep in mind that if your chicken coop is clearly visible to your neighbors, (unless you live in a farm it will most likely be visible to your entire neighborhood,) it shouldn’t ever serve as a distraction or defacement of its utmost surroundings. So make sure to design an aesthetically looking chicken coop so that your neighbors do not complain of its detracting appearance. Once finished, always remember to remove and dispose of any types of garbage or weeds from around your chicken coop. Try to maintain an appealing landscape around it to enhance its overall appearance.
Bonomo Chimp Using Computer To Talk With Humans
Filed Under Pets | Posted on March 18, 2008
In Illinois, a research facility has perfected a way of communicating with Bonomo Chimps and has been using this machine for 7-years now. The primates use the machine to talk to humans and have no problem using the 350 word machine, each with its own button to communicate.
Many people are amazed at this break thru although they really should not be, because their findings are completely in line with Jane Goodall’s research and the Institute in Washington State that works with Chimpanzees. In “The Language of Animals” by Stephen Hart discusses these types of communication between humans and animals are discussed in depth too and we should not be surprised by this great work in Illinois.
Anaconda Snakes Today- Updating News

Anaconda snakes, for sure, conjures up an image of a gigantic, black, serpentine creature slithering in mud and constricting a hapless creature to death. You are not to be blamed for this. Instead, blame those numerous movie directors and novelists who, thanks to their imagination or lack of it, portrayed these docile creatures as vileness epitomized.
Urban legends and rumors are awash with horror tales of anaconda snakes gobbling up innocent kids, regurgitating and re-swallowing their victims thereby giving them a slow and painful death and so on and so forth. So much for the creativity of human brain! Ask a biologist and you will get a drastically different image, an image of a docile, fearful and reclusive creature tucked away in the dense forests of South America.

Many horse owners don’t know that there are at least four types of Equine Herpesvirus. The ones that we associate the most are EHV-1 and EHV-4. EHV-1 is the most prevalent and often the most destructive to the horse. EHV-1 causes severe respiratory problems, abortion in mares and neurological disease. EHV-4 causes upper respiratory infection only. Most horses, however, contract EHV-1 and is it usually first diagnosed by runny noses, fevers, coughs and broodmares that are aborting.
