Matted fur - it happens to most dogs or cats occasionally. When you notice matted fur on your dog or cat, it’s very important to remove the matted fur as soon as possible. Not only is it ugly, but it can become very uncomfortable for your pet causing him to pinch and pull at it. Of course, this can just make matters worse.

So, what causes matts and how do you treat matted fur?

There are several things which can cause matting, but the most common cause is lack of grooming. If you haven’t brushed your cat or dong for a while, shame on you. Your pet can’t do it himself. He’s totally dependent on you to take care of him. If you can’t do it regularly, please take your pet to a groomer regularly.

Siamese - The Changing Breed

Filed Under Legal and Law, Pets | Posted on January 29, 2008

The Siamese cat is a natural breed, which means that the traits commonly associated with the Siamese were not artificially introduced into the cat. Their history goes back hundreds of years to Thailand, or as it was then known, Siam. In modern history, Siamese were first brought to Britain and then later to the United States.

Currently there are two main Siamese cat looks. There is the “wedge-headed” cat, which is the breed standard and the “appleheaded” Siamese. The appleheaded cat is often called a “traditional” Siamese. At this point in time, it is difficult to know which cat was the true breed. It is possible that the long lithe wedge shaped cat was as common as the heavier boned applehead.

When building a chicken coop, it is suggested that you follow the guidelines below for a successful endeavor.

Element #1. - Appearance and Design:

Sketch out your design on a sheet of paper before you do anything else. Think of the colors you will paint the roof and chicken coop walls. Always keep in mind that if your chicken coop is clearly visible to your neighbors, (unless you live in a farm it will most likely be visible to your entire neighborhood,) it shouldn’t ever serve as a distraction or defacement of its utmost surroundings. So make sure to design an aesthetically looking chicken coop so that your neighbors do not complain of its detracting appearance. Once finished, always remember to remove and dispose of any types of garbage or weeds from around your chicken coop. Try to maintain an appealing landscape around it to enhance its overall appearance.
